Old Taiwanese Restaurants Visit Malaysia to Win the Preemptive Opportunity to Head South

TAIPEI, , Nov. 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Department of Commerce, MOEA hopes to encourage old Taiwanese restaurants and Catering Companies to expand into overseas markets. It is bringing catering companies to Malaysia and is holding the "Taiwan Expo 2017 in Malaysia & Visit and Exchange" through the "Old Restaurant Story Marketing Plan." These catering companies include Chef Teng Restaurant, Sweet RainBow, Mian Xian Dao, Oriental Cuisine Guizhou, Fu Xing Bao Xin Fen Yuan, Baked Tea and Old Sichuan. The Department of Commerce is bringing these companies to the "Taiwan Expo in Malaysia" from Nov. 9th to Nov. 11th. The purpose is to promote Taiwan catering brands, establish enterprises and implement matching. These events will be held to enhance the international exposure, overall image and brand reputation of Taiwan's catering industry.

The Halal Industry Development Corporation, Asia Kitchen-Revolving Restaurant, import and export retailers of Zuellig Pharma and Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry were all invited to complete a survey and exchange. Local Chinese merchant organizations, catering services, store expansion channels, authorized cooperation and iconic local restaurant companies have prepared to adapt to the needs of the overseas expansion of the catering industry. Through surveys and exchanges with iconic companies or institutions, we can discuss the catering operations and vision in Taiwan and Malaysia. We interact with local Chinese merchant organizations and catering and channel companies to establish channels for the exchange of business opportunities, stimulate major development of investment and enterprise establishment for Taiwan and Malaysia, and enhance the brand value and international reputation for our catering brands.

We expect to promote the diversity and abundant vitality of old Taiwanese restaurants and food through this expo for international exchange. The historical catering companies that participate in this event can pass down sustainability and play roles for cultural exchange.
