"We are very excited to expand our tissue processor line up with the addition of HistoCore PEARL," stated Matthias Weber, President of Leica Biosystems. "PEARL consistently provides users the quality, safety and operational efficiency required in today's labs. Ultimately, this results in delivering the high quality output needed for accurate diagnosis."

PEARL offers enhanced user safety through a fully enclosed system. This includes triple fume protection, an external exhaust adapter, and an activated carbon filter - providing added protection for lab staff from sustained reagent exposure, and operational confidence for the user.

The ultra-compact design provides a robust 200 cassette capacity, 3.5L reagent bottles, and three paraffin baths to help maximize run efficiency and maintain an effective workflow. With a small footprint of 600 x 710 x 1320 mm (23.62" x 27.95" x 51.96"), PEARL maximizes laboratory space and allows for added work space productivity.

The simple operation includes easy-to-remember operating procedures on a xylene-resistant, multi-lingual touch-screen interface. This ease of use helps provide reliable output day-to-day, and decreases the potential of operator error.

In addition, PEARL features three pre-validated protocols and a Reagent Management System (RMS) for added flexibility. A convenient USB connection allows the user to download log files and help maintain accurate records.
