HONG KONG, Oct. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Pinnacle International announces that it has entered into a framework agreement with BBC Worldwide and LuNeng Group to develop large-scale attractions in LuNeng's Wenchang Shanhaitian resort for BBC television brands -- BBC Earth and Top Gear.
This collaboration will bring together two major television brands to create popular attractions for tourists and provide an enriching entertainment experience for visitors.
BBC Worldwide is a wholly owned subsidiary of BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) and for the past 25 years BBC has been bringing the best of British television to Chinese audiences. BBC's mission to inform, educate and entertain resonates particularly well with Chinese audiences -- who appreciate and recognize the quality at the heart of the BBC brands.
During the announcement on September 20 at LuNeng's Strategic & Innovative Development Conference, BBC Worldwide's Director of Live Entertainment, Stephen Davies, explained in detail about the appeal of the BBC Earth and Top Gear brands. Davies said, "Building on the success of BBC Earth and Top Gear on the screen, we are constantly searching for exciting ways for audiences to experience these brands first hand, and I think we've found a great partner to join us on that journey. This is a really exciting collaboration, and I cannot wait for us to develop some unique and innovative attractions together."

LuNeng Wenchang Shanhaitian represents the implementation of the "One Belt, One Road" strategy by the LuNeng Group, investing billions of dollars to build Asia's premium ecological travel infrastructure. The project is situated in Tonggu Mountain in Wenchang, Hainan Province, and includes five major tourist sites, three world-class themed attractions, 11 museums and 26 resort hotels. These attractions are created in a mega tourist resort that embraces ecology, entertainment, health and leisure elements.
