SHANGHAI, Sept. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The 12th edition of China International Rail Transit Exhibition (Rail+Metro China 2017) will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center on November 21-23, 2017.

The show is organized by Shanghai Shentong Metro Group, China International Consulting Corporation and Shanghai Intex Exhibition Co Ltd, and is strongly supported by Shanghai Transportation Trade Association and Investment Promotion Bureau of Commerce.

The urbanization of China in recent times has seen large and medium cities rapidly develop their public transportation systems, to improve urban traffic conditions and reduce environmental pollution. The 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020) marks the start of China's new urbanization plan, with metropolitan areas set to further expand and traffic congestion expected to intensify to a point that strengthening market demand for urban rail transit will be prioritized even more than in past planning periods. According to statistics, over 1900 kilometers of rail transit construction and 1.2 trillion yuan investment was completed in the 12th Five-Year-Plan period (2011-2015) and newly planned mileage will be more than 2500 kilometers in the 13th Five-Year-Plan, with year-on-year growth of 31.57%.

With the new wave of construction in public transport infrastructure now in full swing, on January 17th 2017 the State Council issued a Notice on Several Measures to Increase Openness to Foreign Investment and Encourage Foreign Investment, making it easier for foreign enterprises to enter the Chinese market. The notice will open up China's market further by supporting foreign investment in infrastructure construction through franchise models, creating a more competitive environment in the process. And restrictions on foreign investors to the domestic market will be removed entirely in areas such as rail transit equipment manufacturing.

Rail+Metro China 2017 will cooperate with AHK/GIC Shanghai, American Rail Working Group and other major international partners, setting 'German Pavilion', 'US Pavilion' and other project demonstration zone and holding project promotion events. Rail+Metro China is always dedicated to promptly convey the most practical industry information and build an integrated trade platform. We believe the 2017's show will hit a new high from every aspect and bring together all the industry's leading figures.

November 21-23, 2017, we look forward to your participation!
