HONG KONG, July 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The graduating students of Yew Chung International School -- Secondary (YCIS) Year 13 have closed their secondary education in style. Congratulations to the Class of 2017 on their International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma results; the School is proud to announce:

  • Top score of 45: 2 students
  • Score of 44: 4.94%
  • Score of 40+: 25.93%
  • Score of 35+: 48.15%

Ivy Ying Nga-fei scored 45, having joined YCIS in Upper Primary, will be attending Cornell. Daisy Chan Wai-ka, who joined YCIS at Year 10 to take the IGCSE two-year course prior to the IB Diploma, will attend Hong Kong University to read Medicine. The following students were rewarded scores of 44: Anson Au Yeuk-ying will also read Medicine at Hong Kong University. Jimmy Xu Haifeng looks forward to reading Medicine at the University of Cambridge. Alice Wang Yanqiu will accept an offer to study at Stanford, and Vincent Lee Chun-ho will go to either University College London or London School of Economics and Political Science.

Working closely with our University Guidance Office during their senior years, our Year 13 students received multiple (early) offers from universities around the world, including University of Cambridge, University College London (UCL), University of St Andrews, the University of Edinburgh, Kings College London and many more for an extensive list from the UK. In the US students' multiple entries include New York University, University of Washington at Seattle, Northwestern University, University of California, Davis, and many more. In Hong Kong once again our students received offers from the University of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Graduates also welcomed offers from top universities in Canada.
