("BioHiTech" or the "Company") (OTCQB: BHTG), a green technology company that develops and deploys innovative and disruptive waste management technologies, today announces Marina Bay Sands' work with Enerprof has seen them shortlisted as one of three finalists in the "Most Green Collaboration" category by the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC) for its upcoming 2017 SICC Awards celebrating collaborative innovation.
The recognition stems from the installation of five on-site Eco-Safe Digesters at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore through its exclusive marketing partnership in Singapore with South East Asian distributor, Enerprof Pte Ltd ("Enerprof"). The Eco-Safe Digester® is a cost effective and environmentally responsible on-site food waste disposal system. The Marina Bay Sands installation received a Distinction of Service Award for minimizing food waste at the recent 3R Awards for Hotels, sponsored by the National Environment Agency and the Singapore Hotel Association.
BioHiTech's exclusive distribution agreement with Enerprof, through its Flexi Systems subsidiary in Singapore, has also resulted in the recent installation of the Company's Eco-Safe Digesters at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), a leading architecture, design, and engineering school. Enerprof partnered with Weishen Industrial Services Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based cleaning and environmental services company, to enable SUTD to become the first tertiary education institute in Singapore to have a campus-wide food waste reduction initiative.
