DALLAS, Sept. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Immigrant Investor Program, known as the EB-5 Program, recently announced the approval of a statewide territorial expansion for Renewable Texas Energy Regional Center (RTERC). This enables RTERC to sponsor EB-5 projects in all 254 counties in Texas, as well as certain parts of New Mexico, and file I-526 petitions under the expanded Regional Center territory.

Originally approved by the USCIS in 2014, RTERC has commercial real estate projects underway with EB-5 capital requirements in excess of $54 million.  RTERC offers low-cost financing through the EB-5 Investor Visa Program to all of the state's major markets and surrounding cities to create jobs and stimulate economic development.  Throughout Texas, RTERC looks for high-quality real estate projects to fund with EB-5 capital.  The company is one of a very few elite statewide EB-5 regional centers in Texas.

"Within the EB-5 regional center industry, it is well-known that a statewide regional center designation by the USCIS is a major market advantage," said Kevin Rogers, CEO. "More importantly, this expanded territory enables our regional center to possibly create thousands of jobs throughout Texas with potentially hundreds of millions of dollars in local project investments."

RTERC focuses on creating indirect and induced jobs during the construction phase of its projects, which often makes it easier for EB-5 investors to receive a permanent green card due in part to the regional center's stringent underwriting standards.

About The EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program

The EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program was created by the U.S. Congress through the Immigration Act of 1990 as a way to create jobs and stimulate the economy.  This program provides an opportunity for non-U.S. citizens to obtain a permanent Green Card by investing in U.S.-based projects that create at least 10 full-time jobs per investor.  The EB-5 program is managed by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services ("USCIS"), which allocates 10,000 EB-5 visas each year, and is codified in Section 203(b)(5) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
