ST. LOUIS, Feb. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Enterprise Holdings Inc. earned four prestigious honors for excellence in recruiting by the Talent Board – a non-profit organization focused on the elevation and promotion of a positive candidate experience. In addition to winning its third straight North American Candidate Experience Award and second straight EMEA Candidate Experience Award, Enterprise received Talent Board's inaugural "Story Teller" designation, which highlights companies with the most notable and interesting candidate experience success stories in North America. Enterprise also was one of only four companies to earn the EMEA award "with distinction" for implementing innovative practices throughout the recruiting cycle.

"We place a large emphasis on ensuring that anyone who's interested in joining Enterprise has a positive and engaging recruitment experience," said Marie Artim, Vice President of Global Talent Acquisition at Enterprise Holdings Inc. "Hearing this positive feedback directly from job candidates around the world confirms that our efforts in this area are being well-received."

Enterprise Holdings, through its regional subsidiaries and franchises, operates the largest fleet of vehicles in the world through a global network of more than 9,000 fully staffed airport and neighborhood locations under the Enterprise Rent-A-CarNational Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands. Each year, thousands of new employees are recruited and hired globally to support the Enterprise, National and Alamo brands.

The Candidate Experience Award winners were selected based on survey responses from nearly 130,000 North American and 145,000 EMEA job candidates. The surveys evaluated more than 200 North American-based and 150 EMEA-based companies to identify and recognize organizations that produce outstanding candidate experiences. In North America, Enterprise was one of 50 organizations – and the only car rental company – to receive the award. In EMEA, Enterprise was one of 37 Candidate Experience Award winners.

Those that successfully met Talent Board's rigorous selection criteria were asked to submit a video about some of the stories that they felt made their process unique or interesting. Ten of the 50 North American Candidate Experience Award winners were designated as the best "Story Tellers." Enterprise highlighted that it makes recruiter photos, social links and contact information available to candidates; tracks each candidate's time in the recruitment process; and pledges to get back to candidates within five days. To earn the "with distinction" designation in EMEA, Enterprise highlighted its single point of contact, transparency throughout the recruitment process and a candidate's ability to connect with a recruiter.

Enterprise uses a blend of high-touch, in-person and digital recruiting techniques. These include supporting the recruitment of military veterans and reservists in the U.S., and working with community organizations to find new talent. Additionally, Enterprise's employee referral program, which rewards existing employees for bringing in successful new candidates, is its top source of hires. These efforts are part of the company's focus on providing an exceptional recruitment experience and developing a personal connection with each candidate.

In fact, Enterprise's talent acquisition team has been widely praised for its accessibility to job seekers. For example, Enterprise also leverages social networks, including Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, to engage with prospective candidates and highlight the company's unique work culture.

"Social media can help us showcase what it's like to work at Enterprise and allow us to communicate with candidates and be more available," noted Carolyn Eiseman, Global Director of Employer Brand at Enterprise Holdings Inc. "We have found that showcasing aspects of Enterprise's culture increases engagement and ultimately attracts more interested, qualified candidates to our company."

Last year, CollegeGrad.com named Enterprise the No. 1 Entry-Level Employer for 2015, highlighting the company's success in attracting and hiring more than 8,500 college graduates to entry-level positions throughout the organization. In the coming year, Enterprise expects to increase its entry-level hiring approximately five percent. The majority of these new hires will enter into the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Management Training program, which teaches employees how to run a business, empower teams and provide excellent face-to-face customer service.

These employees have a chance to advance their careers quickly, thanks in large part to the thorough preparation they receive through the Management Training program. In addition, Enterprise's promote-from-within culture is a driving force behind its need to recruit thousands of innovative, college-educated individuals each year. In fact, this year nearly 15,000 employees were promoted or took on new challenges in various positions throughout Enterprise Holdings. This contributes to new opportunities for recently hired management trainees and a need to add even more.
