HONG KONG, Dec. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Youth Square has been organizing different movie screenings, aiming to deliver positive messages to the youth via movies. Movies in the past included different subjects: culture, art, environmental protection, inspirational, stories of life, etc. This year, Youth Square will hold the "Youth Square CULTURE @MAZE Asian Youth Film Festival", which exhibits 13 movies from different Asian regions, to enhance the youth's interest in watching movies, and to broaden the horizons of youth through the appreciation of arts and culture across Asia.
After the Opening Ceremony of Youth Square CULTURE@MAZE Asian Youth Film Festival, which was successfully held on 23 November, Youth Square is going to hold a series of Movie Screening starting from 27 December 2016 to 1 January 2017, featuring 13 movies. The 13 movies in the CULTURE @MAZE Asian Youth Film Festival comes from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, India and Israel. The public are welcomed to reserve movie tickets by visiting Youth Square's website for online application.
"Youth Square CULTURE @MAZE Asian Youth Film Festival" series include "The Sharing of Film Producer", "Movie Tour", and "Movie Screening". "The Sharing of Film Producer" was held in Youth Square at night right after the Opening Ceremony. Youth Square was honored to invite Mr. Theong Siaw Hang, Director of Malaysia movie "Love Endures", and Mr. Jack Neo, Director of Singapore movie "Ah Boys to Men: Frogmen" to be the guest speakers. The two filmmakers shared their down-to-earth experiences behind their road to stardom, and encouraged the youth to hold on to their dreams. The Movie Tour was also held successfully on 4 December, where "Walk in HK" brought the youth to experience different filming locations in Hong Kong, walking from Chai Wan to Sheung Wan and Central.

Youth Square
The Youth Square, which came into full operation in 2010, is a youth development project of the Home Affairs Bureau of the HKSAR Government, with an aim to be the hub of diversified youth development activities for youth to develop their potential. Youth Square facilities include the 643-seat Y Theatre, Y Studio, multi-function areas and the Y Loft which has 148 guest rooms. 2015 marks the 5th Anniversary of Youth Square. Youth Square has been conducting nearly 100 themed events under "Music & Dance", "Arts & Culture" and "Community Engagement". Youth Square has been holding over 6,500 youth events and served for more than 1.5 million participants since 2010. In addition, with participants came from more than 50 countries or regions, Y Loft has been providing accommodations for more than 50,000 youths who participated in various exchange programmes in Hong Kong. Youth Square is located in Chai Wan and is managed and operated by New World Facilities Management Company Limited on a non-profit making basis.
