SINGAPORE, Sept. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Bordeaux Liquid Gold has been appointed by Chateau Cos D Estournel as the exclusive distributor for their Goulee Blanc for the territory of Malaysia. The agreement states that Bordeaux Liquid Gold will represent Chateau Cos D Estournel for their Goulee Blanc with immediate effect.
The partnership between the two companies enhances Bordeaux Liquid Gold's already substantial presence in the distribution of Bordeaux Grand Cru's around the world.
Previously, Chateau Cos D Estournel has only appointed 2 distributors for their Goulee Blanc -- 1 of them being in Japan another in Brazil. Bordeaux Liquid Gold is the 3rd company being appointed.
The vineyard of Chateau Cos D Estournel now covers 91 hectares. On serious lean summits and on the southern slopes, Cabernet Sauvignon (60% of the vineyard) found their election soils. On the slopes and coasts is where the limestone bedrock outcrops of Saint-Estephe, Merlot (40% of the vineyard) excellent.
The percentage of Cabernet or Merlot in each vintage of course vary depending on the climate of the year that favors alternately one or the other.
For longer-wood and the low yield per foot which will give the 'Great Taste', planting is dense (8,000 to 10,000 vines per hectare depending on the plot) and the average age of the vineyard high (about 35 years).
The vineyards of Chateau Cos d'Estournel and Chateau Marbuzet, both located in Saint-Estephe, were joined in 2003 by Goulee located on the Medoc appellation and vineyard white grapes located in northern Medoc where Cos d 'Estournel white and white Goulee were born in 2005, Michel Reybier properties since 2000.
GOULEE BLANC, The second wine of Chateau Cos d'Estournel Blanc, are located in northern Medoc in Jau Dignac and Loirac, near the vineyards of red Goulee. The geographical location of this white wine gives Cos and white Goulee unique style, close to the style of the great wines of the Loire Valley.
