Equip&Dine Asia and SEAsia Cafe Expo presents the latest advancements and serve up the future of multi-sensory dining for the fast-moving F&B industry

Held from 28-30 August 2019 at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, the co-located shows will bring an all-new perspective and latest innovations into the restaurant and café business. Visitors can expect four interactive hospitality and culinary competitions, a contemporary central kitchen set-up for multiple F&B operations, a café, and a state-of-the-art experiential studio for bespoke dining experiences.

Augmenting the showcases and competitions are two timely conferences featuring industry leaders.

Equip&Dine Asia will feature a holistic showcase of food service solutions, dining wares and industry trends that address the experiential needs of modern-day diners, while SEAsia Café Expo complement by shining a spotlight on the region's thriving café culture through equipment, accessories and quality ingredients used in the preparation of coffee, tea and gelato.

A smorgasbord of experiential concepts to excite the senses

Drawing inspiration from Italian F&B concepts, 'The Italian Summer' by LEVELS STUDIO, an experiential hospitality design studio, anchors on how dining trends are quickly shaping the experiential demands of today's consumers. Collectively, the showcase features how restaurant operators can deliver bespoke and multi-sensory experiences across different customer touchpoints. The LEVELS experience will be brought to life alongside industry partners Electrolux, Celli, Hobart, Precision, T&S, Williams, and Q'son.

Fusion Generation by Citrus is a showcase of a uniquely designed space staging four kiosks serving different cuisines, but ingeniously sharing one common kitchen. Led by CITRUS CONSULT, a renowned foodservice consultancy firm, the unique concept will inspire and help businesses on space planning to maximise efficiency and productivity. Daily demonstration at the kiosks includes a rice station, a pasta station with a local twist, a noodle station, a desserts and beverages station to end the meal sweetly.

Reinforcing the experiential element of the event are concept booths such as 'Kaleidoscope' by Boon Teck, 'GIFEL Fine Teas Reimagined' by Dreiheit House International, 'Seasons of Dining by Fieldcrest Enterprise and 'Automated Foodservice Solution Showcase' by TY Innovations. Set to impress, the concept by TY Innovations feature how startups can refine their kitchen operations and improve productivity with their easy-to-use technology ranging from Rice Robots to Maruzen noodle boilers.

Catch Boncafe's Drink Specialist, Chatchon Buayam and Lead Roaster, Shaun Lee, in action brewing a cuppa. Hailing from Taiwan, The One Tea and Mei-shan Farmers Association will respectively introduce and demonstrate how to make their bubble milk tea product and aiyu (ice jelly) together with the Mayor of Chiayi County, Mr Chang-Liang Weng.

Pitting creativity to hone and refine; cultivating the private dining scene

The excitement continues with the inaugural Table Dressing Challenge which invites catering and banquet operations professionals to showcase their skills in the art of dressing a table. Be inspired by these professionals representing major hotel chains such as Fairmont Hotel and Swissotel, Sheraton Towers, Regent Hotel and Marina Bay Sands, Singapore as they work their magic to deliver creative yet impeccably set tables according to the themes such as "The Ocean", "The Green Age - Recyclable, Energy Saving and Environmental Friendly" and "The Festive Season - Celebrations".

In collaboration with Dine Inn, Singapore's largest network of home chefs, those who love to play host will delight in Equip&Dine Asia's Most Gracious Host Challenge. Helmed by Founder, Mr Luke Lee and Co-founder, Celebrity Chef Eric Teo, the Most Gracious Host Challenge unveils Singapore's best kept recipes from passionate home cooks serving an unforgettable experience with a 4-course tasting menu. Dining for a Few Good Causes and organic lifestyle @ Café 2.0

Not forgetting facets that also feed the soul, dine for a few good causes at Café 2.0. The pop-up café will see Common Man Coffee Roasters selling its delicious organic coffee, where the proceeds will then be donated to Trees for Kibira, a charitable project aimed at supporting reforestation.

The event's Preferred Organic Foods & Lifestyle Partner, Nature's Glory will add to this affirmative journey with its own unique offerings served at the café. Industry Veterans to share on the Changing Landscape of the F&B Industry Today

The Equip&Dine Asia presents two conference days (August 28 & 29) which will see a concentration of industry pundits, sharing on challenges, controversies and points of contention faced by the industry today. From the business of innovation to growing into China and myriad front-of-house issues, veterans sit to discuss and share on the changing landscape of the F&B industry.

Many will appear for the first time, while associations such as the Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI) and the Society of Interior Designers, Singapore (SIDS), have collaborated on various fronts at the inaugural event.

August 28 will also have a series of sessions that will address the various facets of sustainability, from plant-based menus to going meatless and the top concerns of sustainability in F&B today. The highlights include topics on the challenges of growing into China and a Closing Keynote from the CEO of Coriander Leaf Group, Rajeev Panjwani, as he talks on The Future of Foodservice; what's happening in other parts of the world, gauging their potential impact in Asia, and how he is seeking out early adapters, looking at technology change-makers.
