Program promotes improving health care quality and achieving up-to-date accreditation

OAK BROOK, Illinois, Nov. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Joint Commission International (JCI) announces it will hold its Tokyo International Practicum on Accreditation and Quality Improvement 3-7 December 2018. This comprehensive educational program aids the preparation processes for health care organizations seeking JCI accreditation by thoroughly explaining JCI's methods and standards and highlighting best practices and processes needed to achieve accreditation and patient-centric success.

During the five-day educational event, participants will learn tangible benefits of JCI accreditation and necessary practices of the highest-quality health care organizations in the world. Additionally, the program will offer half-day tracer demonstrations at two JCI-accredited, Tokyo-based health care organizations: Mitsui Memorial Hospital and St. Luke's International Hospital.

"This course is ideal for organizations considering JCI accreditation or preparing for an upcoming initial JCI survey. The program content provides essential information for quality managers or anyone else involved in JCI survey preparation," says Paul Reis, associate director International Education, Joint Commission International.

The JCI practicum also features interactive, small-group work sessions with JCI faculty and attendees, during which participants will learn and practice essential elements of the JCI accreditation process methodologies. The program not only helps organizations understand how JCI measures standards compliance, but also provides a framework for evaluating an organization's standards readiness using existing management and staff.

The cost of JCI accreditation and quality improvement practicum is $3,400 USD per attendee. To register or find out about other upcoming JCI events and more, please visit JCI's website at www.jointcommissioninternational.org.
