KLM has been offering flight information via KLM's verified WhatsApp account. Passengers can choose to receive booking confirmations, check-in notifications, boarding passes and receive flight status updates all via WhatsApp.
KLM is now the first airline to offer a new WhatsApp service called 'KLM Family Updates', a service that allows travelers to invite their inner circle to a dedicated WhatsApp group.. Members will receive notifications when the KLM flight has departed, how the flight is progressing and when it has landed. The group members can even request the latest flight status by sending a question: @KLM, where is John?"
