- Internationally Shared healthcare becomes a new port in the sharing economy

GUANGZHOU, China, June 28, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In the afternoon of June 25, Dr. Olivier Bringer, MD, an orthopedic surgeon from Polyclinique Saint Privat, a hospital specializing in bone and joint surgery in Boujan-sur-Libron, France, was invited to attend the ceremony for the opening of the D&U International Pain Management Center in Guangzhou, China. The surgeon engaged in an in-depth exchange with medical specialists from the anesthesiology, rehabilitation, and neurology departments at some of China's leading AAA-rated hospitals concerning their experience in dealing with pain management.

On the day of the event, Peng Lin, founder, chairman and CEO of D&U Clinic, described the original intention and vision behind the international pain center. Dr. Bringer, who served as the consulting doctor and surgeon for many players of several football teams including Real Madrid and Sevilla, shared his experience in the management of pain caused by sports injuries and also participated in an event on June 26, during which free medical services were provided. At the event, the doctor passed on his knowledge to Chinese specialists on how to better treat intractable pain.

D&U International Pain Management Center has broken away from the traditional mold where each department within a hospital works independently from the others, with a model of "treating a single disease with multidisciplinary therapies", providing a new and unprecedented approach to pain management in China. It has become a trend across the international medical sector to have departments specializing in different disciplines actively share resources. Such a reorganization of medical services points the way to a future where shared medical care plays an important role in the ongoing development of the medical industry in China.
