Ming was also spotted on the red carpet at the opening ceremony of the 75th Venice International Film Festival, in celebration of the world premiere of the new film in which he not only had a starring role but was also involved in the production. The film director, Yi-chi Lien, previously directed Peace Breaker, Sweet Alibis as well as several other cinematic works. The international production lineup included Stuart Bentley, director of photography for Black Mirror, Tom Wilkinson, member of the camera team for Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire as well as gaffer David Nye of Paddington Bear. The sincerity of the effort in producing a film with a meaningful message was felt by the viewers not only through the production quality but also the intriguing science fiction angle of the story.

In the film that takes place in the not-so-distant yet futuristic year of 2036, the differences between individuals are reflected in a complex scoring mechanism, in which everyone is given a score by an artificial intelligence mechanism (AI), which looks and feels like a real person in all respects including possessing a human being's intrinsic sophistication, yet also exists in us at the same time. The scoring mechanism creates an environment where every human being's psychological makeup causes them to engage in the pursuit of perfection, yet the mechanism is incapable of detecting the vanity and jealousy that is inherent in human nature, with the result that the desires and ugliness that are part and parcel of that human nature are infinitely magnified.

Dow proved himself magnificent in his role during the 20-minute short film. Members of the audience who were familiar with his work said that they had walked away with an entirely new impression of him, with many saying they were enthralled with his performance. The meaningful film explores the contradiction of modern human nature and social reality. The 20 minutes that it would take to view this fascinating short would be 20 minutes well worth spending.
