SINGAPORE, May 21, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Plug and Play, a global innovation platform that operates across 28 cities, will be bringing together the highlights of its Asia Pacific operations in an inaugural Summit in Singapore at Marina Bay Sands, Level 5 Grand Ballroom on 29 May 2019. This Summit will showcase Plug and Play's Open Innovation efforts in the Southeast Asia region, and aims to help keep industry stakeholders updated on the latest technology trends to help plug the widening gap between the rate of business change and the speed at which technology is advancing.

This full-day summit will allow attendees to explore what is next in the areas of Fintech, Insurtech, Mobility, Travel and Supply Chain. The day will be packed with keynotes, panel discussions, fireside chats between industry leaders and demos from 50 startups. This will serve as a good opportunity for the Plug and Play ecosystem of public and private sector agencies, multinational corporations, as well as investors and startups to network and connect.

Managing Partner of Plug and Play in Asia Pacific, Jupe Tan shared: "Plug and Play is the ultimate innovation platform and we continue to expand our presence in Southeast Asia. We are excited to bring you some of the best-in-class startups that we work with and will also be announcing a new country launch in the region at this Summit".

As part of the Summit agenda, attendees will witness the graduation of the first batch of Plug and Play Singapore's Fintech and Insurtech startups. A startup exhibition area with a specially curated set of startups from Fintech, Insurtech, Mobility, Travel and Supply Chain will form part of the summit to allow participants to interact with the startups.

Invited speakers and panelists include senior representatives from both government and multinational companies such as Jardine Cycle and Carriage, Changi Airport Group, Prudential and Land Transport Authority of Singapore and they will all be sharing their perspectives of the digital landscape and how it will be affecting their work. Neal Cross, who was recognized as the most disruptive Chief Innovation Officer in the world in 2016 while at DBS, will give a keynote speech titled "The Future isn't Digital" to open the summit.

At this summit, Plug and Play will also be announcing several new official corporate partners of Plug and Play in the Asia Pacific region.
