HONG KONG, April 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has awarded Mr. Paul Chan, Mo-po, GBM, GBS, MH, JP, Financial Secretary, an Honorary Fellowship of CIMA.

David Stanford, FCMA, CGMA, President of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), presented the honour to Mr. Chan at a meeting held at the Central Government Offices on 19 April 2018.

Following a career in accounting and finance for over 30 years, Mr. Chan joined the Government in 2012 and was appointed as the Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in January 2017. He is a former President of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a former Chairman of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Hong Kong. He also served as a member of Legislative Council (Accountancy Functional Constituency).

Mr. Stanford commented: "The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants is proud to honour Mr. Paul Chan -- he has dedicated himself to serve the accounting sector and made significant contributions towards the enhancement of professional standards and conduct, professional training and education, and the development of the accounting profession of Hong Kong."
