  • Exponential growth since 2016
  • Launches Titan Cleaning & Hygiene
  • Expands footprint in Nay Pyi Taw and Mandalay

YANGON, Myanmar, April 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- On the back of its third year in Myanmar, urban pest specialist Titan Pest Management (Titan Pest) has announced the launch of Titan Cleaning & Hygiene and the company's expansion into Nay Pyi Taw and Mandalay.

According to Managing Director and Co-Founder Krystian Zycinski-Singh,  Titan Pest's customer base has been growing more than 180 percent every year since launching in Yangon in 2016. "We are grateful for three remarkable years in Myanmar. Our customer base has been growing phenomenally since 2016, while the number of services we have completed grew to more than 600 per cent from 2017 to 2018. From a small team of five, we are now more than 40 people and growing," he said.

Titan Pest is a trusted provider of safe and effective pest management solutions that prevent the breeding of rodents, cockroaches, flies and mosquitoes, which spread infectious diseases like dengue, malaria, typhoid fever and leptospirosis.

99% Client Satisfaction

Titan Pest caters to residential, commercial and industrial customers. Businesses that rely on Titan Pest's premium service include shopping centers, hotels, hospitals, factories and warehouses, building & construction, food & beverage outlets, pharmaceutical and manufacturing plants. To date, Titan Pest has completed close to 11,000 services in Yangon.

"In 2018, we carried out more than 6,500 services and 99 percent of our customers have said they were satisfied to very satisfied," Zycinski-Singh shared.

City Mart, Capital Diamond Star Group, Sule Shangri-la Hotel, Damco, Maersk and Pepsi are among the customers of Titan Pest in Yangon. The company also helps protect hospitals, schools, embassies and international organisations including JICA and UN agencies.

Titan uses environment-friendly chemicals and the safest, most effective pest control technology that meet international standards. Their services are divided into three broad categories: general pest control, mosquito control, and termite control.

Cleaning & Hygiene Service

Taking its integrated approach to pest management to a new level, Titan Pest Management has launched Titan Cleaning & Hygiene. "Ultimately, what we aim to achieve is total protection against any pest infestation. Hygiene is an important part of this. This step is very much a part of our commitment to consistently add value through an end-to-end and convenient service," Krystian Zycinski-Singh explained.

Titan Cleaning & Hygiene will provide commercial facility cleaning maintenance, cleaning audits, commercial deep cleaning, upholstery and carpet cleaning services, drain & pipe clean up, and decluttering services.

Together with an effective pest control program, meticulous cleaning and consistently good housekeeping are a must. Poor housekeeping results in stagnant water, mountains of garbage and clogged drains where pests such as rodents and mosquitoes thrive. Mosquitoes are a big problem in Myanmar, and they only need as little as 5mm of water to lay their eggs.

From January to November 2018, the Myanmar Ministry of Health reported 22,204 dengue cases and 107 deaths. There were also 8 people who died of malaria during the same period.

Expansion in Nay Pyi Taw and Mandalay

Beyond product expansion, Titan Pest is launching in Nay Pyi Taw and Mandalay this year.

"Our Nay Pyi Taw expansion is in progress and we will start servicing customers there shortly after Thingyan.  Mandalay will be launched quite quickly as well within this year; and then we would embark on Phase 2 which will cover the western coastline areas of Chaung Thar, Ngapali and Ngwe Saung," Zycinski-Singh said.

As the capital of Myanmar, Nay Pyi Taw is a strategic expansion for Titan Pest as it serves as home to current and prospective customers in the government, non-government, and international sectors; as well as hotels and schools.

Mandalay is the second largest city in Myanmar after Yangon and the fastest growing. In 2019, the Regional Government of Mandalay pegged growth to be at 8.1 percent.  Development is underway to make Mandalay a key economic engine of Myanmar.

"Mandalay is very attractive because the pace of urbanisation there is fast and there is a conscious effort on the part of the local community to promote a sustainable city. Pest management would be integral to a green Mandalay," Zycinski-Singh said.
