JAKARTA, Indonesia, Nov. 12, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The Grand Final of UniPin SEACA 2019 concluded with great expectations from eSports players to advance to a higher level. The 3-day event at Kartika Expo, Balai Kartini, Jakarta, was an international scale of eSports tournament across Southeast Asia countries.
This prestigious tournament has assembled seven teams that will represent Indonesia in international events. They are the winners of Tekken 7; Chess Rush, UCL (UniPin City League) – Free Fire; UIC (UniPin Indomaret Championship) – Free Fire; Fun Match; DotA 2; and PUBG Mobile.
The participants' great enthusiasm was witnessed by the number of supporters and audiences. They travelled all the way to the event not only from Greater Jakarta area, but also from other cities such as Malang, Banjarmasin, Palembang, Bali, Makassar, Manado, Pontianak, Samarinda, Pekanbaru, Surabaya, Lampung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Purwakarta, and Gresik.
Chairman of National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI), Mr. Letjen. (Purn) Marciano Norman during his visit to Balai Kartini on Sunday (11/10) stated: "UniPin SEACA 2019 showcased with a very high enthusiasm of audiences, especially during the opening ceremony event".
He hopes that UniPin SEACA 2019 can be a trigger for relevant parties in advancing eSports Indonesia to the world, "We are so grateful that UniPin has initiated this UniPin SEACA 2019. Hopefully we can give birth to many eSports athletes who can strengthen the country's national pride at International, ASEAN or other world level events," the Chairman of KONI added. The same expectation is also intended for all related parties, in order to boost the number of eSports athletes in Indonesia.
Ashadi Ang, UniPin's CEO & Co-Founder, expressed his expectation to all the winners of UniPin SEACA 2019 that they could be recruited by professional teams to regenerate their players in the future. This grand final round has been competed by approximately 464 participants, divided into 66 teams. They competed for over Rp 2,4 billion in total cash prizes. The "SEACA Cosplay Showcase 2019" competition which took place on Saturday (11/9) also enlivened this event.
ONIC eSports team who has successfully won the first place and became the Champion of PUBG Mobile competition at UniPin SEACA 2019 expressed their joy and gratitude, "We're very happy because we can finally lift the trophy.
