31,808 Buyers Attended China Sourcing Fair: Gifts & Home Products Including Representatives from Boots, Carrefour, H&M and Sears

HONG KONG, April 25 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Global Sources (Nasdaq: GSOL) China Sourcing Fair: Gifts & Home Products, held April 20-23 at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, attracted 31,808 buyers from 137 countries and territories - up 3.5 percent from spring 2006. This brings overall buyer attendance at the four spring China Sourcing Fairs to 75,566. The other three spring China Sourcing Fairs for Electronics & Components, Fashion Accessories and Underwear & Swimwear ran from April 12-15 at AsiaWorld-Expo.

One buyer, Playtex Products general manager of Asia Operations, Johnny Shek, said: "I spent an entire day at the Fair. I met a good number of suppliers that can deliver the quality my company requires. I also saw a range of innovative products. I am in further discussions with suppliers of those products."

One supplier, Ningbo Sun Gift Home general manager Zhu Hongyu, said: "This is our third time participating. The quality of buyers is outstanding. One unique aspect of the Fair is that we’re able to meet buyers who’ve seen us in Global Sources’ other media. We’re definitely strengthening our brand recognition in our industry."
