ASEAN M&E 2012 Draws Record Numbers of Visitors

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, July 16, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The largest mechanical and electrical engineering exhibition in the region, ASEAN M&E 2012 received tremendous response with 11,884 people visiting the exhibition over three days, 18% more than the 2010 show. The exhibition ran from 26 - 28 June 2012 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and covered the following areas: Air-conditioning, Lifts, Electrical, Renewable Energy, Commercial Security and Fire Safety. It proved that combining six events -- Tenaga 2012, Green Energy Asia 2012, Revac 2012, Lift Asia 2012, ISF 2012 and FIREC 2012 -- was a very successful concept. Both exhibitors and visitors were rewarded with outstanding business opportunities, networking contacts and a variety of important business-information.

The event was highly anticipated by the public and drew many visitors from overseas. The registration counter, especially at Hall 5, was busy the whole day with long lines of visitors waiting to register. As a result, attendance on the first day of ASEAN M&E 2012 was extremely encouraging and, at times, almost overwhelming.

"This show is definitely a great place to find new customers," said one of the exhibitors, Mr. Ong Teong Senn, Manager of Panasonic Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

"Overall, ASEAN M&E 2012 was outstanding and very well set up," said Mr. Yong Kok Soon, Sales & Marketing Director of Bricomp Technologies Sdn. Bhd. "It has generated quality enquiries and quality clients."

The show also featured four international conferences, summits and a technology symposium which featured a variety of interesting topics covering the latest technology, current and future trends, new policies and developments relating to the industry.

The opening ceremony of Green Energy Asia 2012 and the Green Energy, Technology and Innovation Summit, was presided over by Yang Berbahagia Datuk Loo Took Gee, the Secretary General of Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water Malaysia (KeTTHA).

The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), Royal Police Malaysia (PDRM), Asian Professional Security Association (APSA), Malaysia Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Association (MACRA) and Malaysia Lift & Escalator Association (MALEA) also provided much appreciated backing The event was also supported by leading corporations and the Tenaga Expo 2012 event was backed by the leading electric provider in the region: Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB).   

With the participation of  so many main decision-makers, the event is now an important occasion for all trade buyers and  sellers to interact and obtain more in-depth information regarding policies, developments and solutions to problems in the industry in relation to business.
