Exhibitor Participation Hits Record Number

Over 65 Percent Growth in Attendance Expected

MACAU, June 12 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Global Gaming Expo Asia

(G2E Asia), the premier gaming exhibition and conference event dedicated to the Asian gaming markets, debuts this week, June 13-14, at the Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre. Jointly organized by the American Gaming Association (AGA) and Reed Exhibitions as part of the G2E portfolio of events, G2E Asia is expected to attract 3,000 visitors, representing an over 65 percent increase from attendance at last year's Asian Gaming Expo, which G2E acquired in 2006.

The inaugural G2E Asia boasts a sold-out exhibition space over three floors, featuring nearly 80 top-notch exhibitors on 6,000 square meter of exhibit space, posting a 100 percent increase in exhibitor participation over last year.

"Our flagship G2E event in Las Vegas has always drawn hundreds of attendees from Asia, and we at the AGA and Reed Exhibitions saw the need for the same caliber of trade show and conference event in Asia to specifically address the needs and interests of the industry's fastest-growing marketplace," said Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., president and CEO of the AGA, at a pre-event media briefing. "We are extremely pleased to bring a sold out exhibition space to Macau this year, and next year, when G2E Asia moves to the 1.2 million square feet of exhibit and meeting space at the Venetian Macao, the show will grow even bigger."

G2E Asia will offer the largest gaming exhibition show in Asia with participation by several of the world's leading gaming manufacturers including Aristocrat Technologies, Bally Technologies, Konami Australia, IGT Asia, Stargames (a Shuffle Master International Company) and Elixir Group. Over the course of the two-day event, exhibitors will showcase a wide range of new products and services for all aspects of the gaming, hospitality and entertainment industries, some of which will be on display for the first time in Asia.

"The explosion of gaming in Macau has translated into increased demand for gaming machines of all kinds," said Brooke Dunn, president of the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM). "We expect that number to grow significantly especially for slot machines in the next three years, including more games with Asian themes."

G2E Asia 2007 will also feature a conference program full of renowned industry leaders, from both Asian and international gaming markets, who will offer their insights on issues vital to the continued success of gaming in Asia. Conference sessions topics will include: opportunities and challenges of industry growth in Asia; how to decide what operating model works best for different markets; meeting infrastructure challenges in new gaming jurisdictions; how technology is changing table games and slot machines; the importance of responsible gaming; regulation and compliance on a global scale; and more.

In addition, G2E Asia will provide the unbeatable networking opportunities for gaming professionals that are a hallmark of G2E events.
