HANGZHOU, China, Oct. 26 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- On October 26th, 2009, Astronergy Solar's (also known as "Chint Solar") polycrystalline silicon module product CHSM6610P obtained the American UL and Canadian cUL authentications. In addition to the monocrystalline silicon series modules CHSM5612M and CHSM6610M that were previously certificated, all Astronergy Solar crystalline silicon module products have been approved for both American and Canadian markets.
UL is mainly engaged in safety authentication for products intended for the U.S. market. As UL is world's largest non-governmental institution specializing in safety testing and authentication, the UL authentication is an essential condition for photovoltaic products' entering the American market. As one of the most authoritative authentications in North America, cUL is a safety authentication standard for products in the Canadian market.
