BANGKOK, October 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Next year's first quarter will see a truly exciting fashion event in ASEAN as the Bangkok International Fashion Fair (BIFF) and Bangkok International Leather Fair (BIL) will again be organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce in collaboration with Thailand's fashion and leather industries during March 13-17, 2013 at IMPACT, Muang Thong Thani.
ASEAN is a major production base for world fashion & leather goods trade. And with the coming of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015, it will become a single market of 600 million population of 10 countries. Strategically located as ASEAN hub with 67 million population, Thailand is renowned for its established textile, apparel and leather goods manufacturing sectors from upstream to downstream industries. With huge manufacturing potential, products from Thailand are well-known for its high quality standards which exceed buyer's requirement and satisfaction.
Conceptualized with the theme of "Rhythm of ASEAN", BIFF&BIL 2013 will highlight the skills and potential of ASEAN fashion, textile, apparel and leather industries with new designs and styles from regional designers and develop further cooperation between ASEAN countries in enhancing the region's strength in these industries, thereby establishing a unity of regional market as part of the AEC. The Bangkok International Fashion Fair & Bangkok International Leather Fair, now popularly known as "BIFF&BIL", is a fashion trade fair for apparel, textile, fashion accessories and leather goods. The yearly extravaganza is organized by Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government.
