K-Touch N170 and N650 Mobile Phones, Available Now Through China Mobile, Include Red Bend's FOTA Software
BEIJING, Nov. 4 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Red Bend Software, the market leader in Mobile Software Management (MSM), today announced that Beijing Beny Wave Science And Technology Co., Ltd., the top domestic-brand handset vendor in China, has licensed Red Bend's vCurrent(R) Mobile firmware over-the-air (FOTA) updating software. Two Red Bend-enabled handsets, the K-Touch N170 and N650, are available now through China Mobile Communications Corporation, the world's largest mobile operator with a customer base of more than 400 million subscribers. Additional handset models with Red Bend's software have been certified by China Mobile and are planned for shipment this year.

Beny Wave was formerly called Beijing Tianyu Communication Equipment Co. Ltd. In 2007, the company's sales reached 17 million handsets, making it the fourth largest mobile phone provider in the country. This deal signals continued traction for Red Bend in the highly competitive Chinese market, with new customers ZTE, Nollec and Lenovo Mobile announced earlier this year.
