RIM confirmed to sponsor the China Mobile Internet Summit 2010 to strengthen the ties with the three main telcos in China and seek more potential partnership

SHANGHAI, Feb. 11 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Hosted by China Mobile Communications Association and the Global Leaders Institute, the China Mobile Internet 2010 Summit will be held on April 7th~8th 2010 in Beijing, China, officially supported by China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom. This time around, it has attracted world-leading organizations such as the International Telecommunication Union, the Mobile Marketing Association, the Mobile Entertainment Forum, the Hong Kong Wireless Development Center and TD-FORUM to be involved as international endorsers.

As the major problem encountered now by operators in China is the lack of end equipments, all the world-leading smartphone manufacturers seem to perceive the commercial opportunities and are eager to take advantage of them.

"I'm very pleased to be involved in this grand event and have the opportunity to further discuss with our profession," said Gregory Shea, President for China and Vice President for Asia Pacific from Research In Motion(RIM). RIM has registered as an associate sponsor in this summit and hopes to expand into the Asia Pacific region through the CMIS2010 platform.
