Brian Mogg, Golf Coach Of Y.E. Yang, Opens New Performance Center in Hawaii for Golf Instruction

HONOLULU, Jan. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Professional golf instructor Brian Mogg, coach of 2009 PGA Champion Y.E. Yang and one of the sport's most widely respected teachers, has opened a new golf instruction academy in Hawaii.

Located at the Hawaii Prince Golf Club on Oahu's sunny Ewa Plain, the Brian Mogg Performance Center of Hawaii will help golfers of all skill levels to improve their games, including golfers from Asia.

"I'm very excited about bringing my instructional methods to Hawaii and making them more accessible to golfers throughout the Pacific Rim," said Mogg. "Hawaii is one of the world's great golfing destinations and having my new Performance Center in the beautiful setting of the Hawaii Prince Golf Club is an ideal learning environment."

This is the fifth Brian Mogg Performance Center that has been opened since 2002, the previous four being in Florida and Canada. Mogg's golf instruction academies have helped golfers win more than 20 tournaments combined on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, Champions Tour, and Nationwide Tour.

A former PGA Tour pro, Mogg works with many professional and amateur golfers in Asia and North America to help maximize their potential. Notable among the pro golfers he coaches is Y.E. Yang, who became the first Asian man to win a major championship when he out-dueled Tiger Woods on the final back nine for the 2009 PGA Championship. Mogg also works with many other young up-and-coming golfers from Asia.

Mogg has been named a Golf Magazine Top 100 Golf Instructor for eight straight years, 2004-2011. He often appears as a guest instructor on The Golf Channel.

Designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, the Hawaii Prince Golf Club is the only golf course of its kind in Hawaii, with 27 holes in three nine-hole layouts that can be played in interchangeable 18-hole combinations. The course is bordered by 90 white-sand bunkers and 10 lakes and offers spectacular views of the Waianae mountain range.

Mogg is assisted by a full staff of Hawaii-based golf pros to operate his instructional programs year-round. Packages combining travel and golf instruction are available through Prince Resorts Hawaii and travel wholesalers serving Hawaii. Asia golfers also have more travel choices to Hawaii with recent increases in air service from major Asia markets.
