Bureau Veritas Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Korea Testing & Research Institute

 

HONG KONG, Jan. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Bureau Veritas is pleased to announce its Electrical and Electronics Product Line and Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTR) have formed a strategic collaboration to offer a Market Access Solution for the Korea market supporting the electrical and electronics supply chain in China and Taiwan. Witnessed by the senior management of Bureau Veritas and KTR, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony took place in Shenzhen, China in December, 2013.

KTR is a specially legalised institute under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE). It serves as an independent institute dedicated to offer high quality competitive tests, certification and technological consulting services for a wide range of products.

Through this collaboration, Bureau Veritas will perform electrical and electronics testing in accredited testing laboratories in Greater China for KC Certification approvals based upon IECEE CB testing requirements. Manufacturers and trading companies in China and Taiwan will be able to obtain Korean market access for criteria such as MEPS (Minimum Energy Performance Standards) and E-Standby more efficiently and conveniently leveraging Bureau Veritas' local accredited laboratories in China and Taiwan.
