C&W Worldwide to Manage IP Needs for Axiata's Four Operating Companies in Asia Pacific

    SINGAPORE, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Cable&Wireless Worldwide has won a new deal from Axiata Group Berhad (Axiata) to support its growing IP capacity needs in Asia Pacific. Axiata is one of the largest Asian telecommunication companies focused on high growth low penetration emerging markets.

    Under a two-year agreement, C&W Worldwide will build and manage a new IP-based network in Singapore for four of Axiata's operating companies namely Celcom Axiata Berhad (based in Malaysia); PT XL Axiata Tbk (based in Indonesia), Dialog Telekom PLC (based in Sri Lanka) and Hello Axiata Company Limited (based in Cambodia). The company will deliver global standardisation and harmonisation of infrastructure and offer Axiata services which are reliable, functional and easy to manage.
