HARBIN, China, Oct. 4 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Chang-On International Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: CAON) (“CAON” or “the Company”), a company engaged in the business of waste recycling and reutilization, announced today that hundreds of science and technology workers, as well as scientist-turned-entrepreneurs, recently began talks to discuss issues such as energy saving and environmental protection in Wuhan city, Hubei Province, at the annual CAST conference. Scientific and technological achievements are fundamental ways to advance adjustment of industrial structure and break through the bottleneck caused by resources and the environment, and this event showed the great determination of China’s efforts in environmental protection and recycling economy. Among these science and technology workers were more than 100 members from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), the highest palaces for scientific research achievements and engineering progress in China. This year’s CAST conference, heralded as a congress for the science and technology community, features a theme of “Energy Saving and Environmental Protection, Harmonious Development.” It is the eighth of its kind held every year since 1999.
