China Automotive Systems to Host Conference Call on January 22, 2009 at 8:00 AM EST to Discuss Chrysler Contract

Management will comment on the announcement they have been supplying steering gears to the Chrysler Group for the Jeep Wrangler in North America. This contract had previously been announced in November 2008 as CAAS's North American OEM customer. Management will also discuss the ground breaking for the Company's new R&D Institute.
