China Information Security Technology, Inc. Provides Aerophotographic Services to Sichuan Earthquake Relief



SHENZHEN CITY, China, May 29 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- China Information Security Technology, Inc., (Nasdaq: CPBY) (“China Information Security”, “CIST” or the “Company”), a leading provider of Information Security and 3S (Geographic Information System -- GIS, Global Positioning System -- GPS and Remote Sensing -- RS) services in China, today announced that the Company had been providing aerophotographic services to the Sichuan earthquake relief efforts.

Under the emergency earthquake response system launched by the Chinese State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping (the “Bureau”), high quality maps of the earthquake zone are being prepared and transmitted to command centers. These maps have been very crucial to quick and effective rescue efforts. In light of China Information Security’s unique capabilities in the areas of remote sensing and aerial mapping, the Company has placed its professional technicians at the Bureau’s disposal and has helped to develop such maps, using its advanced digital aerophotographic cameras.
