SHENZHEN CITY, China, April 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- China Public
Security Technology, Inc., (OTC Bulletin Board: CPBY.OB) ("China Public
Security" or "the Company"), a public security software, real-time Geographic
Information System (GIS), and e-Government solution provider in China, today
announced that iASPEC, its exclusive contracting partner, has been awarded a
contract by Sha Tau Kok Border Control Station in Shenzhen, P.R.C., for its
Automated Border Control System, with 100% of the value of the contract
subcontracted to Bo Hai Wen, a China Public Security subsidiary.
The Automated Border Control System stores biometric information such as
fingerprints and facial features from passengers in a database, and integrates
it with infrared and license plate recognition technologies to enable the
automation of border control checkpoints for faster and more accurate
processing of passengers. Shenzhen has one of the most important borders in
China, and in order to manage the rapidly growing volume of passenger and
cross boarder vehicle traffic, the Immigration Border Control Station of
Shenzhen City has decided to implement China Public Security's Automated
Border Control solution.
"We are very pleased to announce this important contract award for our
Automated Border Control System, which is a testament to the growing
recognition and market acceptance for China Public Security's boarder control
solutions," said Mr. Jiang Huai Lin, the Company's CEO. "We are confident that
the successful implementation of our border control solution will allow us to
obtain contracts for the remaining border control checkpoints in Shenzhen, and
build the foundation to expand our presence to all the remaining borders in
China."
The Sha Tau Kok project is the third border control project implemented by
China Public Security, following the completion of Shenzhen Bay project and
the Futian New border project. Currently, the Company's Automated Boarder
Control Systems installed in Shenzhen borders are a reference for all Chinese
border control locations.
In the first phase of this project, ten automated checkpoint corridors
will be built in the Sha Tau Kok border, with an additional ten expected to be
implemented in Shenzhen City in the future. In addition, there are
approximately 100 border control locations in China that are expected to
automate their checkpoint control processes to increase efficiency and
accuracy. As a pioneer in border control automation, China Public Security's
proven Automated Border Control System puts the Company in excellent position
to win additional border control automation contracts thoughout China.
