(OTC Bulletin Board: CVVT) ("China Valves" or the "Company"), a leading metal valve manufacturer with operations in the People's Republic of China (the "PRC"), today announced that the Company's Chairman and CEO, Mr. Siping Fang, was named one of "Thirty Famous Non-State Owned Enterprise Entrepreneurs During 30 Years of Reform and Opening up in Henan Province."
Mr. Fang and all of the nominees participated in a televised awards ceremony in which Henan's 30 Years of Reform was reviewed. When the award was presented to Mr. Fang, the presenters highlighted the significant contributions made by Mr. Fang to the development of China Valves and to China's valve market and infrastructure development. Mr. Fang is President of the China Valve Industry Association.
The event was sponsored by the Henan Development and Reform Commission, the State-Owned Asset Supervision and Administration Commission of Henan Province, and the Henan Service Bureau for Small and Medium Enterprises. The final stage of the selection process involved collecting comments from official departments of inspection and supervision, finance, tax, audit, and the Administration for Industry and Commerce. The prequalified entrepreneurs from which the finalists were chosen participated in radio broadcasts, and were featured in newspaper articles and on internet news websites. The final thirty entrepreneurs received extensive coverage from major television and radio stations, magazines and internet news websites.
