China's LOVE IS NOT BLIND Brings in Over US$30 Million in First Week of Release

The film brought in over US$30 million over its first week in release, despite intense foreign competition including IMMORTALS, REAL STEEL and PLANET OF THE APES. The feat was made even more impressive considering that LOVE IS NOT BLIND was produced with a budget of US$1.5 million.

The film joins LET THE BULLETS FLY, AFTERSHOCK and IF YOU ARE THE ONE 2, as the 4th Chinese film in Chinese history to surpass US$30 million in its first week of release. Directed by acclaimed director TENG Huatao, LOVE IS NOT BLIND became an instant pop culture phenomenon and reinvigorated the Chinese audience appetite for contemporary home grown films.
