LOS ANGELES, Nov. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- American Directory publisher China's "Transformative Companies" is building an interactive database of enterprises both inside and outside of China who can reliably and capably serve that country's huge and somewhat untapped consumer base, and who do so in a way that respects the planet's need for sustainability. "We're compiling the world's largest listing of responsible, forward-thinking China-serving companies," says Amy Chang, the group's Director of Communications.

Based in Hollywood, the Directory will produce, in partnership with Hand-sown Films and Breakout Television, short videos telling the stories of standout companies. These will be available for broadcast and satellite television as well as online streaming in the U.S., China, Europe, and Japan.

Like Zhejiang Television's 'The Voice of China', the idea is to make celebrities out of those companies that serve China in an inspiring way.

China has achieved its vast economic success in recent decades mostly through investment, manufacturing and exports. Now, the country seeks to broaden its economic base by creating a thriving consumer market.

Jack Ma, Chairman of the Alibaba Group, has pointed out that the Chinese middle class is already larger than the entire population of the United States. Serving this huge market will be the focus of many enterprises in the coming years. Those who do so responsibly can be members of the CTC directory.

"We want to allow suppliers, buyers, executives, and consumers to have easy access to a thoroughly vetted directory of responsible players in the Chinese market," says Chang.

The first part of the list being compiled now, is subsection AA. This includes firms who typically have a Gold Supplier account on Alibaba, feature that company's Trade Assurance, and sell products which maintain at least a 4 star rating on Amazon.com.

The Directory is in the Beta stage now, and is expected to roll out in February.
