DMC 2011 for Machine Tools, Die Moulds Appearing in Shanghai in June

SHANGHAI, Nov. 30, 2010 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The next China International Exhibition of the Die & Mould, Metal Processing and Forming Industry, DMC 2011 for short—jointly organized by the China Die and Mould Industry Association and Shanghai International Exhibition Co. Ltd., will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre next June 2–5. In existence since 1986, the Die & Mould China exhibition plays a major role in helping enterprises with technology exchanges, economic cooperation, equipment procurement, market development and expansion of trade.

China's die and mould industry has maintained its growth momentum despite the global financial crisis. Exports of China-made dies and moulds amounted to $1.9 billion in both 2008 and 2009, while the country's imports in this area were above $2 billion for four successive years until 2009, when demand remained strong despite imports slipping to $1.964 billion.

Driven by domestic demand and the cost-efficiency advantage of Chinese dies and moulds in international sourcing, China's die and mould industry is expected to grow considerably and consequently generate increasingly strong demand for advanced processing equipment, software, systems and cutting tools, according to the China Die and Mould Industry Association.

China has invested several hundred billion renminbi in building up fixed assets, with manufacturing and testing equipment leading the way. In 2009, China maintained its status as the world's top consumer and importer of machine tool equipment.
