BEIJING, Aug. 26 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Guangzhou Digital Media Group (GZDMG) and DTS Inc. (Nasdaq: DTSI) announced today that they will jointly showcase DTS end-to-end broadcasting solution at DTS Seminar on August 27.
Since 2008, GZDMG and DTS have been working together to build service platforms and test end-to-end systems including cable network transmission and home surround sound reception. Crucial to these technology developments have been collaborations with set-top box manufacturers, IC manufacturers, Media Asset Management System providers and Distribution System providers.
After more than one year's effort, the DTS surround sound channel has made huge strides and will launch by the end of this year. It is the goal of GZDMG to upgrade some of their set-top boxes, allowing consumers to enjoy cutting edge DTS surround sound with DTS-enabled home theatre systems appropriately connected to such set-top boxes and without additional hardware cost.
Highly acclaimed sound designer, author and teacher Dennis Baxter will attend the seminars to introduce technologies and techniques that span a 400-event career, which includes the last five Olympic Games. Details of the seminars are as follows.
