New curriculum offers more global content for easy adoption across regions, and provides relevance and flexibility to suit business needs in a globalised world

SINGAPORE, July 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ESI International, the world's leading project management training company, today announced the alignment of its project management course curriculum with international industry standards and best practices, with aims to providing project managers and organisations with the relevance and flexibility they will need to succeed in a globalised economy.

ESI International undertook a comprehensive review of its curriculum and has made changes to its courses and aligned them with a broader set of standards and global best practices, instead of a single body of knowledge. These include standards and best practices from the Project Management Institute (PMI), Association for Project Management (APM), International Project Management Association (IPMA) and the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).

Backed by ESI's 30 years of research and documentation of well-defined project management methodologies, the new approach will enable its project management courses to be more inclusive and appeal to a broader global audience.

The new set of courses will provide customers with more globally relevant content and flexibility for customisation to specific project management methodologies, strategic initiatives and business goals. Through a more global and robust course content set, ESI will be able to respond better to customers' changing business needs and diverse global operations by offering credible project management standards that are applicable across different regions.

Furthermore, by aligning the course content with global practices and not tying to any one specific standard, ESI's courses will become less prescriptive and more facilitative. This advantage will enable training instructors to better tailor course deliverables to specific needs of the audience, facilitate discussions on the various credentials available to students, and encourage peer-to-peer learning.

"Our new approach to the course updates is the result of a thorough analysis of qualitative feedback, quantitative data and industry research," said Raed S. Haddad, Managing Director for Asia Pacific, ESI International. "We are excited about the positive impact this approach will have on our trusted partners and customers. Through launching the new set of course curriculum, we are taking a step further in our commitment to support customers in solving issues and maximising the opportunity for return on investment."
