The Asia-Europe All Stars Series is a new yearly series consisting of two tournaments, one to be held in the People's Republic of China and the other in a European country to be selected. Each "Asia-Europe All Stars Series" event is a two-day team competition between the Asian and the European all star team. The Asia leg will take place in Beijing on 25th and 26th August 2009.

Beijing to host Asia Euro All Stars of Table Tennis Contest
According to a protocol signed by the European Table Tennis Union and the Asian Table Tennis Union, Beijing will host the first leg of this event. The second leg will be held in Istanbul. Asia vs Europe All Stars Table Tennis Contest is a new tournament involving the biggest stars of the sport. In 2009, the Asian players are Ma Lin, Ma Long, JOO Se-Hyuk, CHUAN Chih-Yuan, Cheung Yuk, and the European players are Boll Timo, Samsonov, Kreanga, Maze, and Persson.
