The price for phosphate rock, yellow phosphorus, phosphoric acid and other phosphorus chemical products, recently rise. Frbiz's analyst believes that the phosphorus chemical products rise in prices was mainly due to the dual factors of demand and cost.
Frbiz's data show that last week, yellow phosphorus prices were up to 14,000-14,500 RMB/ton from 11,000 RMB/ton. Frbiz's analyst reports that phosphorus price increases are mainly due to a rise in sulphur prices. It is expected that yellow phosphorus prices will continue to increase slightly, but after the mid-late December, dealers will cash in reserves, so the continued rise is unlikely to be large.
Constrained by demand, yellow phosphorus's downstream phosphoric acid rise in price is relatively moderate. The latest price is 4600-4700 RMB/ton, while in mid-November, the price was 4,300-4,400 RMB/ton. Analysts report that the upstream phosphate rock and phosphorus price increase situation has not yet spread to downstream.
