The new office in Iskandar was officiated by Y.B. Tan Sri Shahrir Abdul Samad, Member of Parliament for Johor Bahru and Advisor to Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA).

Mr. Aroop Zutshi, Global President and Managing Partner at Frost & Sullivan said that the Iskandar office will be the engine of growth for Frost & Sullivan in Asia Pacific. "We are putting together some capabilities that will support new products and services for our customers. Our leadership team recently met up at our new office in Iskandar to set our strategic plans," he added.

He also said that in the future, Malaysia has the potential to become the biggest office for Frost & Sullivan globally, with the company's aggressive hiring plan in Iskandar. "Frost & Sullivan hopes to have roughly 800 employees to be based in its Iskandar office in the next 6-7 years," Mr. Zutshi said.

Malaysia is currently Frost & Sullivan's second largest office in Asia Pacific, with over 200 employees in both Kuala Lumpur and Iskandar Malaysia. The company, headquartered in Mountain View, California has about 1,500 analysts and consultants globally.

Mr. Zutshi added that Frost & Sullivan has also relocated a few of its senior leadership team in Asia Pacific to Iskandar and is hiring more senior executives to be based out of the Iskandar office. "Iskandar is a strategic location in the region due to its proximity to Singapore and other high growth economies such as Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippines, which allows us to drive growth in a more accelerated manner," he said.

Mr. Zutshi also said that Frost & Sullivan's team of analysts in Iskandar will be supporting clients in Japan and Korea, who are increasingly looking to invest in ASEAN.

He added that Frost & Sullivan will also unveil findings from its latest research Mega Trends Malaysia on April 14 at its flagship Growth, Innovation & Leadership congress in Kuala Lumpur.

"We want to help our clients use Mega Trends as a framework to think about how to innovate and drive their business," he said.

Mr. Manoj Menon, Senior Partner & Asia Pacific Managing Director said that Frost & Sullivan will be organizing the Frost The Trail charity run for the second time this year in Iskandar, to be held on April 12. "100% of the donations received for Frost The Trail Iskandar 2015 will be channeled to support our beneficiary, Mercy Malaysia to support in the flood rebuilding efforts," he added.

Frost the Trail was first introduced in Singapore in 2006. Its aim was to raise awareness about corporate environmentalism through education, competition and participation. The success of the event led to it being introduced in Kuala Lumpur in 2009.

Frost & Sullivan's Frost the Trail Iskandar Malaysia Corporate Challenge is an exciting race, where individual participants and teams of four compete on a 5km (Team) circuit.

All participants will be flagged off simultaneously. For the Team Category, all four members of each team will be timed individually and a total group time will be collated. These group times are then ranked and the fastest team will be named the winner.

Mr. Menon said that through this unique event, Frost & Sullivan aims to give back to the community, enhance teamwork, and emphasize the importance of healthy living, while providing an excellent opportunity to interact with industry peers in a casual and relaxed environment.
