2012-08-02 20:00 1342

BEIJING, August 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Fushi Copperweld Inc., ("Fushi" or the "Company") (Nasdaq: FSIN), the leading global manufacturer and innovator of copper-clad bimetallic wire for the telecommunications, electrical utility, automotive and other industries, today announced a partnership with Dynext S.r.l., that will serve as the company's sales and innovation arm for the European and North African markets.

Headquartered in Milan, Italy, Dynext's core focus will be the development of new bimetallic applications and product lines for the European and North African markets, particularly in the electrical utility, railway, telecom and cable industries. Fushi Copperweld's bimetallic conductors offer a cost-saving alternative to solid copper wire in a variety of applications, including electrical earthing/grounding, and high-frequency communications cables. Dynext will also coordinate and supervise the business development activities of Fushi Copperweld's authorized agents throughout the region.

"We are committed to serving our end markets worldwide, and to do that we need to operate on a truly global front," says Fushi Copperweld co-CEO Joe Longever. "Europe and North Africa are important geographical markets with great potential in the sectors we serve, and we look forward to growing our business in those markets with the help of the Dynext team."

Antonio Pezzoni, who will lead all commercial efforts for Dynext, has more than 20 years' experience in sales and dealing in raw materials for such companies as Union Carbide, Arco Chemical and Neste-Borealis. Since 2001, he has worked as an international consultant in the cable industry.

Dynext's technical director is Franco Peruzzotti, a longtime Pirelli Cable (now Prysmian Cables and Systems) research and development officer, who has spent the last five years as a consultant in sustainable development, energy efficiency and materials technology in the cable industry.

"We are very excited about this partnership," says Longever. "With our distribution hub in Belgium, and now a dedicated business and product development group in Italy, we will be able to offer our European customers an unprecedented level of service and expertise."
