Goodman Extends Partnership with Decathlon in China, Signing New Leases for 157,000 sqm Across Two Built-to-suit Facilities

SHANGHAI, June 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Goodman Group (Goodman or Group), the global integrated property group, which owns, develops and manages industrial space, is pleased to announce that it has signed two new lease agreements with Decathlon, a leading global retailer of sports apparel and equipment headquartered in France, for a combined 157,000 sqm of prime logistics space.

The transactions include the development of an 85,000 sqm built-to-suit facility at Goodman Hannan Logistics Park in Wuhan, Hubei Province and a 72,000 sqm built-to-suit facility at Goodman Hunnan Logistics Centre in Shenyang, Liaoning Province.

Goodman Hannan Logistics Park is located in Hannan District, Wuhan city, which borders six other provinces and cities in Central and Western China. It has excellent accessibility to the expressway network, which connects it to surrounding cities, making it a key logistical junction in the Central China region. The project will be developed in two phases, with construction expected to be completed in December 2015 and June 2016 respectively. On completion, the estate will offer approximately 170,000 sqm of prime logistics space, with an estimated end value of RMB560 million.

The built-to-suit facility for Decathlon in Goodman Hannan Logistics Park comprises four single-storey warehouses. It will be used as Decathlon's main distribution centre in China, with future plans to establish it as a major hub for its goods being transported between Europe and Asia.

Goodman Hunnan Logistics Centre is strategically located in Shenyang Hunnan E-Commerce Industrial Park. In close proximity to Shenyang downtown and Shenyang Airport, it has excellent connectivity to the north-eastern region of China via an extensive expressway network. The built-to-suit project for Decathlon will be developed in two phases and is expected to be completed in March 2017. When completed, the facility will comprise four single-storey warehouses, with approximately 72,000 sqm of prime logistics space and an estimated end value of RMB300 million. Decathlon will use the facility as its major distribution centre in North-east China.
