Honeywell Donates New Science and Technology Library to Zhangjiang Experimental High School

Goal is to expose students to science and technology, promoting creativity and innovation

SHANGHAI, Jan. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON), the leading global developer of automotive turbochargers, and Honeywell Hometown Solutions, the company's corporate citizenship initiative, announced the donation of a new science and technology library to the Zhangjiang Experimental High School. Honeywell continues to seek opportunities to increase students' exposure to the fields of science and technology in order to inspire them to be more creative and innovative in their thinking, particularly in the areas of energy efficiency and safety.

The Zhangjiang Experimental High School was founded 68 years ago and has 1,200 students and 120 teachers, comprising both the middle school and high school departments. The school is located in the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park area and is one of the United Nations' Environment, Population and Development Project member schools.

The mission of Honeywell Hometown Solutions is to improve the communities in which Honeywell employees live, work and raise their families. Its mission also extends to supporting local charities around the world in the areas of science and math education, family safety and security, housing and shelter, habitat and conservation, and humanitarian relief.
