HT-SAAE to Launch its 2015 Annual Blockbuster New Product 'Milky Way' in Tokyo

TOKYO, Feb. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Shanghai Aerospace Automobile Electromechanical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "HT-SAAE") launches its 2015 annual blockbuster new product -- bifacial N-type Pert Mono-crystalline PV modules -- during Japan's PV EXPO 2015 tradeshow. HT-SAAE named its new product "Milky Way", in correspondence with its previously launched "High Way" product. This name is the combination of HT's area of strength -- space technology and HT-SAAE's strategic business -- new energy. It also conveys HT-SAAE's intention to invite its clients to join it on its journey to discover unlimited energy space.

Milky Way -- bifacial N-type Pert Mono-crystalline PV modules are made from independently developed N-Type high efficiency cell technology, highly reliable materials, advanced equipment and fully automated manufacturing procedure. Through independent examination and tests by the internationally known authoritative body TUV Rheinland, Milky Way can produce higher power output within a limited area. Milky Way's one side output power and bifacial output power both outperform other similar industrial products. Bifacial power production can reduce the levelized cost of electricity and shorten the investment payback period. The output power of the new products (60 cells 156mm*156mm) can reach up to 285Wp, with an average cell efficiency of more than 20.4%. This is the leading industrial efficiency and output power rate.

The strengths of Milky Way are also reflected in some outstanding characteristics such as zero initial light induced degradation and low irradiation response. The N-type new product will be able to be effectively deployed on projects installed in varied environments, such as ground mounted projects, rooftop projects, day lighting type agricultural greenhouse projects, snowfield projects, water surface projects and highway projects, to satisfy human demand of electricity in diversified environment. Milky Way is especially smart when applied to snowfield area. The extra reverse side power generation can remarkably uplift the overall module power output, avoid the hot spot effect and melt snow that collects on the frontage. This can lengthen the duration of power generation, help to gain extra electricity investment return and save the cost to clean the snow cover on top of the modules. In some high latitude countries and areas such as northeast Japan, Germany and the Netherlands, the strength of N-type Pert PV modules has been repeatedly proved. It is shown from the outdoor experiments when applied on some special ground surfaces; the bifacial N-type Pert PV modules can even bring higher additional power output. The extra power generation rate can reach up to 30%, 21% and 12% on surfaces such as snowfields, white painted concrete surfaces and grassland (or sand).
