Honeywell Launches Security Packages Designed for Small- and Medium-Size Businesses in Asia

Makes Security Simpler and More Effective for Smaller Scale and Entry Level Requirements; Offered Through Distributors

HONG KONG, Aug. 16 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced the launch of a series of security packages for small- and medium-size business (SMB) applications, providing a comprehensive range of video surveillance, access control and intrusion solutions that are cost-effective and easy-to-use. As part of this launch, Honeywell Security Group is assembling distribution channels to serve SMBs throughout Asia.
There are an enormous number of small- and medium-size businesses in the Asia Pacific region, and their security needs are different from that of larger enterprises. Despite the investment SMBs will allocate for security solutions, they may not have an expert or a specialized department to manage their security systems, so they require products and solutions that are easy to install, manage and maintain.

The SMB package includes the Honeywell Vista series video surveillance system for both indoor and outdoor installation at various SMBs, the LYNX wireless burglary control panel that protects up to 24 zones with an enhanced message centre, single-button operation, remote phone control and "Follow Me" alarm & reminder functions, the 238C Plus II intrusion system that offers protection up to 8 zones with simple installation and programming as well as the web-based access control system IP-AK2, whose built-in Web server allows users to employ a standard Web browser to manage, control, and monitor the access control system from anywhere an Internet connection is available.
