Hong Kong Airlines has launched "Triumph Sky High" Junior Programme since 2014, offering an opportunity to learn aviation knowledge to students from different background. This time, as the first visit in 2016, Hong Kong Airlines expands the scope of programme and welcomes participants from a wider community. Extending the joy and happiness of Lunar New Year, more than ten families of recovered kids from Ronald McDonald House gained aviation knowledge in a fun and interesting way. Some children even played the role of captain and cabin crew and had an eye-opening experience.

Mr. Stanley Yau, Director of Human Resources & Administration of Hong Kong Airlines said, "We are especially pleased to have recovered kids and their families from Ronald McDonald House with us today to have a special flight experience. It's the first time for many of them visiting a real aircraft. Through interactive exercise and games with our crew members, I hope this activity can explore their interest to the industry and join this field in the future. I would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to Mr. who brings kids a wonderful moment about aviation with us."

Ms. Iris Wong, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hong Kong said, "We sincerely thank Hong Kong Airlines for inviting our kids who have recovered from serious illness and their families to join this exciting event. With the love and care of Hong Kong Airlines crew members, as well as their patient in teaching aviation knowledge, all kids had a precious experience."

The aviation experience tour started with a visit to Hong Kong Airlines' catering service centre and check-in counters at the Hong Kong International Airport. Students were brought behind the scenes to learn how meals are prepared and the daily operation of ground services. The students then went onboard a Hong Kong Airlines A330 aircraft. Captain and cabin crew of Hong Kong Airlines shared their aviation knowledge and flight experiences with the children. Students also learned the structure of cockpit and cabin, experienced Business Class facilities and tried on life jackets. As our privileged guest of the visit, famous band Mr. not only share flight experience with kids, but also share the joy of music with them in cabin.

Hong Kong Airlines will continue to hold the "Triumph Sky High" Junior Programme, open to schools and NGOs for more youngsters to gain exposure to the aviation industry.
