Huaneng Power International, Inc. 2017 Three Months Net Profit Attributable To Shareholders Decreased By 86.97%

BEIJING, April 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Huaneng Power International, Inc. ("HPI", or the "Company") (NYSE: HNP; HKEx: 902; SSE: 600011) today announced its unaudited results for the three months ended March 31, 2017.

Under the PRC GAAP, the Company realized consolidated operating revenue of RMB 37.577 billion for the first quarter of 2017, representing an increase of 7.54% over the same period last year. Consolidated net profit attributable to the shareholders of the Company was RMB 0.652 billion, representing a decrease of 86.97% over the same period last year. The decrease is mainly attributable to the increase of fuel price.
