Introducing Advanced Technologies from the Czech Republic to the People's Republic of China

BEIJING, Nov. 1, 2012/PRNewswire/ -- The Czech Republic is organizing several events this autumn in order to promote achievements and abilities of its high-tech sectors such as biotechnology, biomedicine, nanotechnology and aviation industry. These sectors have been identified by the Czech government as priority sectors for further bilateral cooperation with China.

Seminar on bio and nanotechnology in Shanghai

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing organized in cooperation with representative office of the State Agency for business promotion CzechTrade and Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Shanghai a business-to-business seminar on Czech bio and nanotechnologies in Equatorial Hotel Shanghai on 23rd of October 2012. Leading companies from the Czech Republic took part and presented their achievements to their counterparts from bio and nanotechnology sector – BioTest Ltd. (pre-clinical research and development, comprehensive toxicological program), BioVendor JSC (research and diagnostic products), BVT Ltd. (research, development and production of electrochemical sensors), Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Co. Ltd. (research and development in biotechnology with focus on food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and environmental applications), CzechBio (association of 35 innovative biotech companies, research institutions and universities), PARDAM Ltd./Kertak Nanotechnology Ltd. (high quality inorganic and organic nanofibers and nanofiberous products). Seminar funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic preceded the Czech participation in the international conference BioChina Shanghai from 24th to 25th of October 2012.

Opening ceremony of the company NAFIGATE in Beijing

In order to follow-up the bio and nanotechnology seminar in Shanghai, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing is going to organize an opening ceremony of the company NAFIGATE at the residence of the Embassy on 20th November 2012. NAFIGATE Corporation, a Czech company active in technology transfer and high-tech product commercialization, brings a revolutionary biotechnology developed by VUT (Brno University of Technology) to the Chinese market. The technology is able to transform used cooking oil into plastic packaging that is not harmful to the environment.

NAFIGATE Corporation, a. s. brings together the most notable experts in the field of nanofibers and builds a Global Center of Excellence whose aim is to transfer high-tech products and innovation technologies. “Because we know that the Chinese government supports the development and implementation of innovative products and technologies, we have decided to establish a branch directly in China and link the Chinese research and development in nanofibers with the global elite. The management team for China has been active for some time now. We make use of our experience from the successful commercialization of the Nanospider technology,” says Ladislav Mares.

Apart from biotechnologies, NAFIGATE Corporation, a. s. brings to the Chinese market projects focusing on the development of a new, energy saving generation of nanofiber membranes for waste water treatment technology, the textile industry or batteries. “New technologies enable the use this potential and bring solutions to major problems in the development of humankind” - said prof. Flying high with Czech aircrafts – seminar on the Czech aviation industry in Zhuhai

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing is preparing in cooperation with representative office of the State Agency for business promotion CzechTrade a business-to-business seminar on the Czech aviation industry in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, on 15th November 2012. This seminar is going to be an integral part of the Czech official presentation at the AirShow China 2012 in Zhuhai and the funding support is provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic as well.

Twelve Czech companies – producers of small aircrafts for general aviation and other various purposes (medical services, agriculture, monitoring etc.), as well as sport and ultralight planes, aicraft equipment or advanced services – will be presenting themselves to potential partners and customers in China. 80 square meters of the Czech exhibition booth will host companies AIR TEAM Ltd., Aircraft Industries JSC, Direct Fly Ltd., ERA JSC, EVEKTOR-AEROTECHNIK JSC, Galaxy High Technology Ltd., Jihostroj JSC, Association of the Aviation Industry of the Czech Republic, MESIT Equipment Ltd., PBS Velka Bites, TL ELEKTRONIC, JIHLAVAN Airplanes Ltd.

The incoming gradual opening of the Chinese aviation space in the future presents an unique opportunity for Czech companies to offer their counterparts the high quality products, technologies, know-how and advanced services necessary for the successful development of the sector. It is not a coincidence that Czech companies claim to hold about 40 percent of market share of ultralight airplanes in the USA.
